But instead of using <a href=\"https:\/\/digiday.com\/media\/heres-what-we-heard-about-ai-on-day-one-of-google-cloud-next\/\">Google<\/a> or Bing, the tool uses Brave\u2019s independent search index, which the startup claims is \u201ccurated and cleansed of SEO spam and junk content.\u201d The updates follow other additions to Leo, <a href=\"https:\/\/digiday.com\/media\/brave-browser-brings-new-ai-reading-features-to-its-privacy-focused-chatbot\/\">Brave\u2019s AI chatbot<\/a>, which debuted in November before expanding to Android mobile users in February and to iOS devices earlier this month.<\/p>\n<p>Search giants like Google and Microsoft are also expanding AI search capabilities on their platforms and through rival chatbots like  <a href=\"https:\/\/digiday.com\/media-buying\/from-gemini-to-grok-new-names-for-generative-ai-share-the-spotlight\/\">Gemini<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/digiday.com\/media\/microsoft-heralds-a-new-age-of-ai-copilots-across-hardware-software-and-advertising\/\">Copilot<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/digiday.com\/media-buying\/chatgpt-turns-a-year-old-marking-a-major-milestone-for-generative-ai\/\">ChatGPT<\/a> and Google\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/digiday.com\/media-buying\/from-gemini-to-grok-new-names-for-generative-ai-share-the-spotlight\/\">Gemini<\/a>. However, Brave aims to put its privacy-preserving features at the forefront.
